Hawaiian Airlines is launching nonstop flights between Sydney and Honolulu, making it the first airline to operate direct routes to Hawaii from both Australia and New Zealand. The new route comes just two years after Hawaiian discontinued its inter-island service earlier this year.
Hawaiian Airlines is restarting nonstop Sydney-Honolulu flights. This will allow passengers to fly in comfort and style. The new service will be available from June 1, 2019.
Hawaiian Airlines stated today that, beginning December 13, it would resume its five-times-weekly service between Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) and Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL).
With the outbreak of the pandemic and the ensuing international travel restrictions, the airline terminated the service in March 2020. Australian authorities enacted particularly tight border closures and lockdown measures, keeping Australians at home and preventing foreigners from spreading the disease.
What’s Hot Right Now
After nineteen months, Australia is prepared to let its residents to go overseas once again, however the timeline for reopening the country’s borders to outsiders is still being debated. However, Hawaiian’s restoration of international service to the United States means that Australians will be able to experience the islands’ distinctive friendliness in time for the holidays.
Throughout the epidemic, Hawaii has maintained the most stringent set of travel restrictions of any state in the United States. Hawaii authorities stated the islands will be ready to welcome guests again beginning November 1 after recovering from a recent COVID-19 spike blamed on the Delta version.
While the Aloha State has yet to declare its foreign travel entrance rules, Hawaiian Airlines stated in a news statement that it hopes Hawaii will follow the federal government’s new international travel system. The new regulation, which goes into effect on November 8, will require overseas visitors to produce documentation of complete vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test done within three days of their arrival in the United States.
“We are happy to reunite Hawaii and Australia, and the public’s reaction to Australia’s national vaccination campaign has been encouraging, allowing the reopening of borders,” said Andrew Stanbury, Hawaiian Airlines’ regional director for Australia and New Zealand.
On December 13, flight HA451 will restart, leaving HNL at 11:50 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and arriving in SYD at roughly 7:45 p.m. the following day. On the 15th of December,
“For Australians, Hawaii is a highly popular vacation location, and we know that many people have been eagerly anticipating a trip there. We’re looking forward to securely welcome our passengers back on board and providing them with the genuine hospitality they’ve come to expect “Added he.
