One Day in Magic Kingdom

Orlando, Florida

Walt Disney World is most certainly the first location that comes to mind when you think about Orlando. Although this is officially in Kissimmee, Florida, it is on everyone’s list of enjoyable places to visit with children.

Aside from visiting Disney World, there are a number of other parks in Orlando worth visiting.

Universal Studios Orlando

Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure are other great theme parks to explore, especially if you have a Harry Potter fan in the group.

Rides based on famous films such as Spiderman, Men in Black, Despicable Me, and, of course, Harry Potter are available. If you have smaller children, there is a whole area dedicated to Dr. Seuss.

You can now immerse yourself in a water fun paradise with slides and more thanks to the arrival of Volcano Bay!

Killer Whale Show at Sea World Orlando

Another great location to visit with the family is Sea World. Sea World offers not just hands-on aquatic life experiences, but also roller coasters and its own water park, Aquatica, which is my particular favorite.

Don’t be misled into believing Sea World is only about whales and dolphins. It has so much more to offer!

Outer Banks NC is a great vacation for families

North Carolina’s Outer Banks

The Outer Banks are a group of barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina that are one of the most popular summer family vacation locations on the east coast when it comes to going to the beach.

You could spend a whole week on North Carolina’s Outer Banks and never get bored.

Aside from the gorgeous beaches, there’s a water park, numerous lighthouses to see, wild horses on Corolla, deep sea fishing trips, and the famous Wright Brothers’ maiden flight location.

Your children will be grateful to you for bringing them to such a wonderful vacation location.

Washington DC is a great family travel destination

In Washington, D.C.

While you will undoubtedly want to see the main historical sites and museums while on vacation in Washington DC, there are also lots of enjoyable locations to visit with children.

The International Spy Museum isn’t like any other museum. The world’s biggest collection of international espionage artifacts is on display here, giving you a firsthand look into the life of a spy.

Children may participate in Operation Spy, an immersive experience in which they take on the role of a secret spy tasked with collecting vital information in order to escape a high-security facility.

Even if you’ve never visited a wax museum before, your children will love seeing their favorite celebrities at Madame Tussauds. There are also 45 presidents of the United States shown.

As you may be aware, Washington is steeped with history, making it an ideal location for a ghost tour!

While walking to renowned locations, the whole family will enjoy hearing to ghost tales!

Nearby is the Jamestown village, where children may once again participate in hands-on historical lessons.

You’ll hear about the real Pocahontas (not the Disney version) and be able to tour the James Fort while speaking with historical characters and tradesmen dressed in period garb.

There are many great children’s activities that vary on a daily basis, but they may always go on an artifact hunt while learning about excavation and research.

Consider this historic trip of Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown if you know you’ll be there for a few days.

Busch Gardens WilliamsburgBusch Gardens is a registered trademark of Busch Gardens, Inc.

Busch Gardens is a must-see for everyone visiting Williamsburg. This colonial-themed amusement park is ideal for a day out! Busch Gardens Williamsburg, known for its roller coasters, offers it all!

While many of the rides are exciting, Busch Gardens also offers areas dedicated to their favorite Sesame Street characters for younger children!
