Hawaiian Airlines is launching nonstop flights between Sydney and Honolulu, making it the first airline to operate direct routes to Hawaii from both Australia and New Zealand. The new route comes just two years after Hawaiian discontinued its inter-island service earlier this year.
Hawaiian Airlines is restarting nonstop Sydney-Honolulu flights. This will allow passengers to fly in comfort and style. The new service will be available from June 1, 2019.
Hawaiian Airlines stated today that, beginning December 13, it would resume its five-times-weekly service between Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) and Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL).
With the outbreak of the pandemic and the ensuing international travel restrictions, the airline terminated the service in March 2020. Australian authorities enacted particularly tight border closures and lockdown measures, keeping Australians at home and preventing foreigners from spreading the disease.
