The Croatian Tennis Association is hosting a charity tennis tournament in Zagreb, Croatia. The event will feature the likes of Novak Djokovic, Ana Ivanovic, and Ivo Karlović.

ZAGREB, July 13, 2021 — The pro-am charity tennis tournament ‘Game Set Croatia’ returned to Petrinja Monday, two years after its debut in Zagreb.
‘Game Set Croatia,’ organized by tennis player Marin ili and his charity, saw Croatian athletes team up for a doubles tennis tournament to raise money for the children of Petrinja and the surrounding county, which would be devastated by a catastrophic earthquake at the end of 2020.
Famous personalities like as Luka Modri, Mario Manduki, Ivan Perii, Borna Ori, Donna Veki, Mateo Kovai, Ivan Dodig, and Luka Cindri joined ili for the charity event today at the newly constructed multipurpose sports facility Dragutin Tadijanovi Elementary School in Petrinja.

“I am ecstatic that we have made it to the second edition. Everyone could appreciate the inaugural edition, which featured players competing in sports other than their own. Everyone was ecstatic that a single huge gathering had resulted in a significant amount of money being raised. When it comes to humanitarian efforts, we athletes have a huge heart,” ili remarked.
In one semifinal, Manduki and Patrik, a young emerging tennis player, faced ili and Modri, while Kovai and Veki faced Perii and Dodig in the other.

ili and Modri, last year’s champions, would win their semi-final, while Perii and Dodig were too strong for Kovai and Veki.
ili and Modri won the championship with a 15-12 victory in the final, which was contested to a score of first to 15 points.

“I am ecstatic to have won the championship and to be able to assist Marin’s foundation in raising funds for Petrinja,” Modri added.
“I’m really proud of myself right now. I attend to events like these to realize how important they are to the children and citizens,” ili remarked, while Perii added.
“Whenever I am able, I will always support these activities; it just takes a few hours of our time, but it means so lot to the people here.”
