Emerald Cruises has announced the construction of Emerald Sakara, their second superyacht.

The name of the ship is a Sanskrit mantra that means “thoughts become things.”

Emerald Sakara will cruise the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Red, and Black Seas with sister-superyacht Emerald Azzurra. During her first trip, Sakara will visit the beautiful Seychelles in the Indian Ocean, a brand-new destination for Emerald Cruises. Port Victoria (Mahé Island), Sainte-Anne Island, Cousin Island, Praslin Island, Grande-Soeur Island, Curieuse Island, La Digue Island, and Aride Island are all included in the eight-night Tropical Charms of the Seychelles itinerary.

“Since announcing the debut of Emerald Azzurra, we’ve had tremendous interest in yacht sailing, and we’re delighted to be able to announce the construction of our second luxury superyacht, Emerald Sakara,” said David Winterton, Emerald Cruises’ global director of brand & marketing.

“The name of the boat is Sanskrit for ‘ideas becoming things,’ and it alludes to the concept that good thoughts may materialize into reality. We like this concept, which exemplifies Emerald Cruises’ brand promise of bringing our customers’ fantasies of a luxury boat holiday at an unbeatable price to fruition.”

In Ha Long City, Vietnam, work on the 110-meter Emerald Sakara is already begun. 88 percent of the vessel’s 50 staterooms will have balconies, much like her sister. A huge infinity pool, spa, gym, and marina platform with aquatic equipment such as paddleboards and snorkeling gear will be available onboard.

Emerald Cruises has added a second yacht to its fleet, increasing capacity to meet the line’s high demand for ocean-going excursions. Despite the worldwide epidemic, Emerald witnessed Black Sea sailings aboard Azzurra sell out within two weeks of its announcement.

Emerald Sakara is Emerald Cruises’ second superyacht, after the launch of Emerald Azzurra on January 28, 2022.

Sakara will be the 11th vessel in the Emerald fleet when she debuts in the first quarter of 2023, joining nine river cruise Star-Ships that sail throughout Europe and Asia.

Emerald Sakara is currently accepting reservations as of today, September 28.
