Silversea’s New Wellness Program To Redefine Pampering at Sea

Silversea Cruises recently announced a new wellness program that will redefine pampering at sea. The program, called Wellness at Sea, is the first of its kind and provides guests with an unprecedented level of personal care and attention.

The Silversea’s New Wellness Program To Redefine Pampering at Sea is a new program that the cruise line has introduced. It is designed to provide guests with an experience of wellness, and redefine pampering at sea. Read more in detail here: what is wellness.

Silversea Cruises’ next ship Silver Dawn, which will begin service in spring 2022, will debut a new health program called Otium. Suites, restaurants, and the spa will all be upgraded as part of the project.

Otium was inspired by the unhurried pace of the old Roman lifestyle, a reference to the cruise line’s Italian history. Otium, the antithesis of negotium, the absence of pleasure, was a period of leisure in Roman culture, during which people bathed, conversed, sung, theorized, drank, ate, and rested.

Otium is based on the principles that wellness should be a natural, enjoyable part of one’s day; that living well and being well are not mutually exclusive; and that wellness does not have to be a solitary, silent experience, but rather a social pursuit best enjoyed with others, according to Silversea.

“Silversea has always excelled in enabling passengers to ‘journey deeper in luxury,’” according to Barbara Muckermann, Silversea Cruises’ chief commercial officer. “While the immersive element of our service is simple to communicate, the luxury of our product may sometimes seem intangible: visitors must see it – and experience it – to truly appreciate it.” Otium is unlike any other wellness program; it perfectly fits with our brand strategy and will wrap our visitors in a blanket of unparalleled luxury. It will be centered on immediate satisfaction, extending the luxury treatment for which Silversea is known to other sections of the ship, including guest rooms, the renovated spa, and beyond. The way visitors relax and enjoy their own space will be transformed by Otium. It will add to our already high levels of satisfaction.”

Silversea presented the following experiences during a recent test of the new wellness program.

More Restful Sleep

Every suite category on the Silver Dawn will get an Otium-inspired mattress for the best sleeping experience. Customized down and feather mixes, memory foam, firm down, and better down substitutes will be added to the cruise line’s pillow menu.

Experiments in Bathing

On Silver Dawn, every suite type will include both a walk-in shower and a bath. Silversea’s butlers will create a customized bathing experience for Otium, which will feature luxurious Otium bathrobes, bath salts, and relaxing candlelight. They’ll relax while enjoying caviar canapés, chocolate truffles, and champagne, among other pleasures, while listening to their favorite music.

The Observation Deck

Otium will urge visitors to take in the scenery. Silversea will provide a cashmere blanket, canapés, and the first hot chocolate menu at sea in cold climates such as Antarctica, the Arctic, or the Russian Far East. Guests may remain cool in hotter climes, from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean and beyond, with body mists, sun creams, drinks, and gourmet nibbles.

Food that makes you feel good

Silversea is expanding its food and beverage offerings with Otium, which includes an in-suite comfort food menu that is accessible 24 hours a day. Signature delicacies will vary from lobster and caviar in brioche rolls to a variety of gourmet popcorn, all designed to enrich visitors’ movie evenings, pre-dinner aperitifs, and other moments of leisure.

The Spa Treatment

The spa at Silver Dawn will be renovated to provide a more limited treatment selection. In addition to massages and other treatments, visitors may relax and mingle in the spa’s thermal rooms while sipping champagne or sampling specialty delicacies like as caviar and truffles.
